Event wrap up: the first Connect UK User Group

Chris Britton - 12 June 2018

Last week we were delighted to host a full house at the inaugural Connect User Group in Glasgow.

In 20 years of software User Groups, I've never seen the level of engagement and collaborative discussion in a forum such as this. I loved seeing our attendees constantly putting their hands up during presentations to add their commentary and experiences in how they are using our collaboration software to do great things which impact the community.

The overwhelming sense that I got from listening to our presenters and delegates was how Connect is being used to share confidential information with their trusted partners that sit outside of their organisations. From consultants to police, to social workers, to health care providers, to youth officers and more - thank you everyone who shared their insights. It was truly humbling.

I delivered a Product Roadmap presentation on the direction for the product strategy and what's about to drop in the very near future. If anyone has missed the link to the survey that we're currently running, which is to help us prioritise the order in which we release some of our smaller features, please contact us.

Finally, thank you once again for attending and a special thank you to our presenters:

  • Clare Burke, Glasgow City Council
  • Andy Parker, Welsh Government
  • Pauline McGrattan, Scottish Government
  • Leanne Hamer, Middlesbrough Council
As for our APAC customers, we're looking at delivering a user group here in Australia so please let me know if you'd be interested in participating either as a delegate or as a presenter.
